Harrisburg PA Nov 14 2017 A deputy Dauphin County district attorney was arrested after spitting blood at a security guard at a Harrisburg bar, a city police official said Monday afternoon.
Captain Gabriel L. Olivera said Deputy DA Martin Lock was arrested just before 1 a.m. Friday when officers responded to a call about a disorderly patron at Arooga's Sports Bar in the 200 block of North Second Street.
Officers found Lock with security guards. Lock had blood on his face and chest and was visibly intoxicated, Olivera said. He said witnesses reported that Lock had spit blood on one of the security guards.
Lock was taken to Harrisburg Hospital for treatment. He is charged with two counts each of misdemeanor disorderly conduct and harassment, plus a charge of public drunkenness, Olivera said.
District Attorney Ed Marsico told PennLive earlier Monday that Lock, a six-year veteran of his office, has been suspended pending the outcome of the case. Marsico said he asked the state attorney general's office to prosecute the case.
Marsico called the incident "very troubling."
